Paolo Patrizi – Mya Tha Lyaung Reclining Buddha, Bago
Mya Tha Lyaung Buddha is a reclining statue located west of Bago City (Pegu), Burma (Myanmar). The statue is 82 meters (270 feet) long, making it an enormous outdoor statue in Myanmar, just behind the Shwethalyaung Statue. The reclining position represents the final phase of the historical Buddha’s life on earth before entering parinirvana. It is believed that this Buddha image was built in 2001 by the contributions of the Burmese. @paolopatrizi
